The Wisconsin Badgers are set to play against the LSU Tigers in the ReliaQuest Bowl on January 1st, 2024 to cap off Luke Fickell’s first year as head coach.
The Badgers, standing at 7-5 this season, had an up and down year, but finished strong with two consecutive victories over Nebraska and Minnesota in rivalry games to place them in the ReliaQuest Bowl.
However, it won’t be the same Badgers that play in the bowl game, as several players have transferred out, while Braelon Allen, Jason Maitre, and Tanor Bortolini are opting out to pursue their NFL Draft aspirations.
To begin, DraftKings Sportsbook had Wisconsin as 10-point underdogs, with the over/under set at 55.
The lines moved as far as 11.5-point underdogs, but there was a slight shift over the past 24 hours as LSU quarterback Jayden Daniels, who won this year’s Heisman Trophy, announced that he’ll be entering the 2024 NFL Draft and forgoing the bowl game.
While it seemed like a formality at this point, the odds have now slightly shifted, as DraftKings Sportsbook has the Badgers as 9.5-point underdogs, with the over/under set at 55.
