Former Wisconsin Badgers offensive lineman Trey Wedig is transferring to the Indiana Hoosiers, he announced late Saturday night.

Wedig, a graduate transfer, saw extensive action as a member of the Badgers, playing in 34 games, which included eight starts.

A four-star recruit in the Class of 2020, Wedig saw time at both guard spots and right tackle over the past two years, and figured to be a part of Wisconsin’s rotation at offensive line this season.

After rotating in with guards Joe Huber and Michael Furtney for the first half of the season, Wedig fell out of the group and didn’t see much playing time from the Illinois game onwards.

Moving to Indiana, Wedig will likely compete for a starting spot immediately and reunites with former Badgers offensive line coach Bob Bostad, who was with Wisconsin under head coach Paul Chryst.

Bostad was the lone position coach on former Indiana head coach Tom Allen’s staff that was retained by Curt Cignetti.
