Wisconsin Badgers vs. Texas Longhorns: Game Thread

The Badgers are looking to get past Texas for another Championship appearance.

Fresh off a 3-1 win over the Oregon Ducks, the Wisconsin Badgers are set to face off against the Texas Longhorns in the Final Four on Thursday, with the match starting at 8:30 P.M. CT at the Amalie Arena in Tampa, Florida.

To reach the Final Four, the Badgers faced off against Oregon at the UW Field House, where they went up two sets before ultimately winning 3-1 (25-22, 25-22, 25-27, 25-18).

In the win, the Badgers rallied behind Sarah Franklin, who had 20 kills, while Temi Thomas-Ailara had 11 and Anna Smrek powered in 10 of her own.

Defensively, Carter Booth led the way with nine blocks, while C.C. Crawford and Anna Smrek had seven a piece in the victory.

Entering the Final Four, Wisconsin faces a Texas team that has beaten Texas A&M, SMU, Tennessee, and Stanford in their region.

The winner of Thursday’s game will go to the Championship, where they’ll face off against Nebraska, who swept Pittsburgh 3-0 in the other Final Four matchup to return to the big stage.
