On Sunday morning, reports from Badger247 and BadgerBlitz announced that Wisconsin Badgers freshman 3-star running back Antwan Roberts (Hendersonville, Tenn.) would be entering the transfer portal.
Wisconsin true freshman running back Antwan Roberts has entered the NCAA transfer portal, he tells @Badger247.https://t.co/KlRh77xuRb

This comes as little surprise after Roberts was suspended from the team after being involved in an altercation with fellow freshman running back Loyal Crawford back in August. The 6-foot-1, 195-pound freshman had offers from Duke, Kentucky, Louisville, Memphis, Missouri and Vanderbilt.
Head coach Paul Chryst and the Badgers had zero additional comment on the Crawford/Roberts incident and now, presumably, with both players off the team they will continue their silence.
The Badgers still have freshman running backs Braelon Allen and Jackson Acker on the roster, but do not have a running back committed in their 2022 class. They will probably start looking for some late bloomers in the ‘22 class or scour the transfer market for one this offseason.
Wisconsin plays Notre Dame at Soldier Field on Saturday at 11 a.m. CT, in the biggest game of the weekend, and we’ll see if Chryst has anything to say about the two running backs leaving the program this week during his media availability.
