The Big Ten has released this upcoming season’s conference hockey schedule, which sets the stage for a revenge season after the Badgers’ disappointing first round exit versus Bemidji State in the 2021 NCAA Tournament. Each Big Ten team will play 24 conference games.
Conference play opens for the reigning Big Ten champion Badgers on October 29 in Ann Arbor, Mich. They will take on the Wolverines on both October 29 and 30 before returning to the Kohl Center to take on the winner of last year’s conference tournament, Minnesota, on November 5-6.
Then the Badgers will say goodbye to Madison for some time, heading to South Bend, Ind. to take on Notre Dame on November 12-13 and to East Lansing, Mich. the following week, facing the Michigan State Spartans on November 19-20.

Following the matchups with Michigan State, the Badgers return home for a pair of non-conference games versus Clarkson. Big Ten play briefly resumes on December 10-11 when the Penn State Nittany Lions come to Madison.
Once again, conference play comes to a halt and the Badgers will participate in the inaugural Holiday Face-Off at Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee. The Badgers will face Yale on December 28 and either Bowling Green or Providence on December 29.
Big Ten play returns in full swing for the Badgers on January 7-8 at the Kohl Center versus the Ohio State Buckeyes. The Spartans will come to Madison on January 14-15 for two games versus the Badgers before Wisconsin heads east to take on Penn State in University Park on January 21-22.
The Badgers return to the Kohl Center on January 28-29 to take on Michigan, visit Ohio State in Columbus on February 4-5, and face Notre Dame at home for the Badgers’ final home-stand of the year on February 11-12. After a bye week, the Badgers will wrap up their regular season on the road at Minnesota on February 25-26.
The Big Ten conference tournament is set to begin on March 4. All conference tournament games will take place on campuses, with the highest remaining seed hosting the title game.
