On Monday morning, the Wisconsin Badgers football team announced that they will play a future home and home series with Pac-12 member, the Utah Utes. The Utes will come to Camp Randall Stadium in 2028 while the Badgers will make the return trip to Salt Lake City and Rice-Eccles Stadium in 2033.

The Badgers and Utes have met three times before with the most recent game being in the 1996 Copper Bowl. UW beat Utah 38-10, with Ron Dayne rushing for 246 yards, in the Copper Bowl while the Badgers lost 31-28 in 1987 and beat Utah 7-0 in 1961. Both of the last two games were played in Madison.
Wisconsin now has a Power 5 (plus Notre Dame) opponent scheduled in the non-conference for every year up until the 2033 mathchup with Utah.

Utah is the third Pac-12 team, along with Washington State and UCLA, that the Badgers have scheduled recently. Alabama, Pitt and Virginia Tech (we’ll see about this one, lol) are also on future schedules.
