On today’s episode of Bucky’s 5th Podcast we’ve got a news rundown on many Wisconsin sports to send you into the weekend. To start, we touch on the Wisconsin basketball news around Trevor Anderson entering the transfer portal, and Micah announcing he will departing from Wisconsin as well.

After that, we preview the Wisconsin men’s hockey team’s opening-round game in the NCAA tournament against Bemidji State. Will the top-seeded Badgers survive and advance after the odd layoff? We think so!

Next up we touch on volleyball which was once again dealt a tough blow as they are once again faced with cancellations for this weekend’s matches after COVID issues at Penn State. Really, the biggest of bummers. We hope to see them back on the court soon.

Lastly, we touch on the Badgers new hire in running backs coach Gary Brown. Following that, we get into a preview/review of the quarterback position before Spring practice kicks off. What did we make of Graham Mertz’s 2020 season? What will he need to improve heading into next year? Take a listen.
