As announced on Selection Sunday, the 9-seed Wisconsin Badgers will be taking on the 8-seed North Carolina Tar Heels in the South Region on Friday. Later on in the evening, the tip-time, channel and announcers were, uh, announced so y’all could start planning out your day.
The Badgers will open the NCAA Tournament at 6:10 p.m CST on Friday evening and will be playing on the mothership, CBS. The game will take place in a traditional house of horrors for the Badgers, Mackey Arena in West Lafayette, Ind., but at least Purdue won’t be the opponent this time.
Per Jamie Erdhal, she, Ian Eagle and Jim Spanarkel will be on the call for the Badgers and Tar Heels.

The winner of the Badgers and Tar Heels game will move on to take on the winner of 1-seed Baylor Bears and 16-seed Hartford Hawks on Sunday.
Wisconsin ended the season with a number of close losses to the likes of Iowa (twice), Purdue and Michigan while beating Northwestern soundly and holding on to beat Penn State in the Big Ten Tournament. They’ll be hoping to carry some semblance of momentum into the Big Dance as UNC went on a bit of a mini-run in the ACC Tournament, beating Notre Dame and Virginia Tech before falling just short against Florida State.
