Recruiting is the lifeblood of any major college athletics team, but following it closely as a fan can sometimes be difficult and can often be time consuming. We’ll try and condense all the recruiting news you can use into this bi-weekly (sometimes more) post. It’ll include updates on current commits, including stats from their high school games, as well as news on players the Badgers are still pursuing. Let’s get down to business!
Badgers make top-nine
- 2022 4-star RB Nicholas Singleton (Shillington, Pa.) out of Governor Mifflin High School announced his top-nine schools on Twitter on Tuesday. His list includes a number of heavy hitters on the recruiting trail including Alabama, Auburn, Michigan, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Penn State, Texas A&M and Northwestern.

247Sports has one Crystal Ball prediction in for Penn State for the 6-foot and 200 pound tailback and also lists Notre Dame, Ohio State and Wisconsin as “warm” in terms of his interest. The Badgers offered Singleton back in Jan. 2020 and we had this to say about his highlight video:
Singleton had some extremely impressive statistics this past year, rushing for 1,690 yards and 32 touchdowns. Singleton has speed to burn as his highlight video shows him getting to the outside on a lot of runs, beating defenders to the corner and then just taking off down the sidelines.
After Singleton announced his top-nine, Adam Friedman, one of the east coast recruiting analysts for Rivals, reported that Singleton had locked in an official visit to Madison, and 247 Sports lists June 4 on Singleton’s profile as the weekend that he’ll visit campus.
Ranked as the No. 98 player and No. 5 RB in the country by the 247 Composite, Singleton would be a very large get for the Badgers if he ends up choosing Wisconsin.
