Recruiting is the lifeblood of any major college athletics team, but following it closely as a fan can sometimes be difficult and can often be time consuming. We’ll try and condense all the recruiting news you can use into this bi-weekly (sometimes more) post. It’ll include updates on current commits, including stats from their high school games, as well as news on players the Badgers are still pursuing. Let’s get down to business!

New offer

  • On Friday morning, it was announced on Twitter that the Wisconsin Badgers offered 3-star 2022 PF Braeden Moore (Nashville, Tenn.). The 6-foot-8 forward plays for the prep school Christ Presbyterian Academy and has offers from Tennessee, Georgetown, Auburn, Kansas, Rutgers, Ole Miss and others. Florida State, Indiana and Iowa have also shown interest, but have yet to offer Moore.

Head coach Greg Gard and assistant coach Joe Krabbenhoft have been in contact with Moore since July and showed strong interest in him, according to 247Sports ($). Per the 247 Composite, Moore is the No. 166 player and No. 32 PF in the country.

Moore is a big man who can step back and shoot the three, something that Wisconsin has previously had a lot of success with. Moore is the eighth 2022 prospect that the Badgers have offered and the third big man as UW looks to secure more depth in the paint.

In December, Moore told 247Sports’ Evan Flood ($) that he was interested in the program and loved the coaching staff, also adding that “the way they play is how I play.” Promising quotes for Badger fans, but obviously it is early in the process.
