The bad news keeps coming for the Wisconsin Badgers tight end room this season. After being taken off the field in an ambulance on Saturday against Iowa, TE Clay Cundiff is officially out for the season. Fellow tight ends Cam Large and Hayden Rucci are already listed as “out” for the game against Rutgers as well, so UW can’t really afford another injury there.

OL Josh Seltzner and OLB Spencer Lytle are both listed as “questionable” and will be reevaluated as the week goes on. We’ll get an update on both of them come Saturday when the Badgers release their updated status report before the game.
As far as the depth chart goes, there are now a couple of empty spots there due to players entering the transfer portal. Wisconsin no longer lists a backup fullback now that Quan Easterling put his name in the portal and there are also only five cornerbacks listed instead of six since Donte Burton also put his name into the portal.

Michael Furtney is listed as the backup LG and RG while Cormac Sampson is now listed as the backup C. TE Jack Eschenbach is the backup to Jake Ferguson, but the depth thins out after that with only Jaylan Franklin available behind those two.
We’ll obviously keep you updated on any new injuries, or transfer portal news that affects the depth chart, as they happen throughout the week.
