The tight end room for the Wisconsin Badgers is a veritable hospital ward at this point in the season. Against Purdue on Saturday, TE Cam Large left the game with an injury and the Badgers were down to only Jake Ferguson and Jaylan Franklin. Cormac Sampson who has been used as a Swiss Army knife of sorts along the offensive line was used as a blocking tight end and, looking at the new injury report released on Monday, will probably continue to do so this weekend against the Iowa Hawkeyes.

Large and Hayden Rucci are already listed as out, Cole Dakovich has been out for the season for weeks and Clay Cundiff and Jack Eschenbach are listed as questionable. Cundiff is listed as the backup on the depth chart which seems bad for Eschenbach, the usual backup TE.

There are otherwise no changes to the depth chart. ILB Mike Maskalunas, OLB Spencer Lytle and CB Alexander Smith are all still listed as backups even though they are on the injury report as questionable to play.
We’ll have an updated status report on Saturday prior to kickoff and will obviously keep everyone posted if anyone tweaks anything during practice this week.
