Will Logan Bruss be back? How many more running backs can this team lose this season?

As is Monday morning tradition, the Wisconsin Badgers have released their preliminary depth chart and injury report before their road matchup with the No. 25 Purdue Boilermakers.

Before the Army game on Saturday, UW announced that RB Isaac Guerendo is now out for the season with a left leg injury. He joins CB Al Ashford III, TE Cole Dakovich, CB Deron Harrell, and LS Duncan McKinley on the season-long injured list.

TE Jack Eschenbach and LBs Aaron Witt and Jordan Turner are already listed as out for the Purdue game as well.

OL Logan Bruss, TE Clay Cundiff, ILB Mike Maskalunas and OLB Spencer Lytle are all listed as questionable and will be worth monitoring as the week goes on.

While his play has certainly earned the distinction on its own, with the injury to Guerendo, Braelon Allen is now listed alone as the No. 2 running back on the depth chart. Despite being listed as “questionable” for the game, Cundiff is also listed as the backup TE since Eschenbach is for sure not going to play.

You’ll otherwise note that the depth chart is the same as it usually is. Bruss is still listed as the starting RT and Maskalunas is still listed as the top backup ILB, but their actual status will be updated on Saturday before the game.

As always, we’ll keep you posted on any other injury news throughout the week leading up to Saturday’s game against a ranked (!!!) Purdue squad.
