Welcome to SB Nation Reacts, a survey of fans across the NCAA. Each week, we send out questions to the most plugged in Wisconsin Badgers fans, and fans across the country. Sign up here to join Reacts.

Wisconsin fans are feeling pretty good as 2021 gets underway. Confidence is high and on the rise for both the men’s basketball and football teams.

The Badgers basketball team has climbed into the AP’s top 10. With that start, fans are understandably excited. According to the most recent SB Nation Reacts survey, 92 percent of Wisconsin fans believe the team is headed in the right direction. That’s up a few notches from 88 percent last week.

That bump in confidence comes in the same week news broke that could play a big role in Wisconsin’s postseason life. It should be noted that this poll was conducted before the Badgers beat Indiana in double OT on Thursday. This past week, the NCAA announced the entirety of the NCAA Tournament would be played in and around Indianapolis.

According to college basketball fans around the country, roughly two-thirds of fans think playing all of March Madness in and around Indianapolis is a good idea.

Wisconsin fans hope the basketball season goes a little smoother than the football season. However, after a Duke’s Mayo Bowl win, fans are feeling good about the program heading into the offseason. 88 percent of Wisconsin fans are confident in the team, up from 73 percent last week and a season low of 52 percent in December when Wisconsin was playing some of its worst football of the past five years.

That Mayo Bowl win came with a bit of national surprise. 15 percent of national fans said the lack of mayo in the Mayo Bowl water jug was the strangest moment of the season. That came well behind the highest response, with 36 percent of fans who said the strangest moment was seeing Clemson get blown out by Ohio State.

With the win Ohio State advanced on to play Alabama in the CFP National Championship. According to nearly two-thirds of college football fans, Alabama will win another championship. And, if we are keeping things a buck around here...I’ll be cheering for the Tide because Ohio State shouldn’t get anything good this year (or any year).

With the college football season ending on Monday the Reacts polls will be switching over to mostly basketball related content and if you have any questions you’d like the fan base to answer you should drop them in the comments and we’ll see what we can do!
