In the midst of winning six of their last seven games, things are looking good for the Wisconsin basketball team. But despite the success, fans still aren’t completely sold on the team. I cannot say I blame them as there are some Achilles heels with this team. Currently, the Badgers are struggling to defend the interior, which will be tested even more against teams like Illinois and Iowa who are on the schedule the next few weeks. Additionally, the three-ball has been hot and cold as of late.

According to the most recent SB Nation Reacts survey, 88 percent of Wisconsin fans said they are confident the team is headed in the right direction. That’s down from 92 percent last week.

Wisconsin fans had high expectations heading into the season and hope the team can live up to those hopes that the preseason held. This team can still get to that mark, but it will take some improvements in the key areas mentioned earlier.

Wisconsin fans may still be waiting for the Badgers up to their potential, but there are plenty of teams that are already appearing to surpass expectations on the year.

Fans around the country were asked which team has been the best surprise so far this year. 39 percent of fans gave that title to the Texas Longhorns, followed by 24 percent that picked Minnesota.

While hopes are still high for teams around the country, college football fans already feel pretty confident they know who will win next year’s College Football Playoff Championship. Even with a large portion of Alabama’s championship roster heading to the NFL, 42 percent of fans nationally think the Tide will repeat next season.
