Recruiting is the lifeblood of any major college athletics team, but following it closely as a fan can sometimes be difficult and can often be time consuming. We’ll try and condense all the recruiting news you can use into this bi-weekly (sometimes more) post. It’ll include updates on current commits, including stats from their high school games, as well as news on players the Badgers are still pursuing. Let’s get down to business!
- The 2022 All-America Bowl continued to hand out invitations on Tuesday and a number of Wisconsin targets received one. In-state 4-star OTs Joe Brunner (Whitefish Bay) and Billy Schrauth (Fond du Lac) announced that they had been chosen. 4-star OLB Sebastian Cheeks (Evanston, Ill.) and 4-star RB Nicholas Singleton (Reading, Pa.) also announced on Twitter that they had been chosen.

- 2022 3-star CB Avery Powell (Jersey City, N.J.) out of St. Peters Prep announced that he cut his list down to a top-15 and the Badgers were included. If you can’t see the embedded tweet, the other schools are: Michigan, Penn State, Notre Dame, Nebraska, South Carolina, Tennessee, Florida, Ole Miss, Boston College, Cincinnati, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Miami (Fla.) and Mississippi State.
According to 247Sports, the Badgers are joined by Ole Miss, Florida, Notre Dame and Oklahoma in a top group of the 15 finalists. The 247 Composite ranks Powell as the No. 46 CB and No. 463 player in the country.
