Becoming a CFP candidate

In Owen Riese’s article on January 13th relative to improving personnel to be a better CFP candidate he misses the overarching issues that need to be improved. It is not just personnel. it is also the coaching, the offensive philosophy and the total culture. For example, the Badger mode of operation seems to play defense, run the ball and control the clock. A fine way to win in the 70s, 80s and 90s but it does not allow you to score fast enough to keep up with today’s top teams. Just look at how Nick Sabin has changed the Alabama offense. Our coaches pay scale is always close to the bottom of the Big Ten while our Athletic Director is near the top in the country is also discouraging. I don’t know enough to comment on the facilities, and other infrastructure but if it doesn’t match up to Ohio State we will never get there!
