The Wisconsin Badgers men’s hockey team has a long and storied history of producing players that go on to the NHL and excel. Last season saw Ryan McDonagh raise the Stanley Cup for the Tampa Bay Lightning after beating Joe Pavelski and the Dallas Stars, so you know Badgers mean business.

This season is no different as 18 players were on NHL training camp rosters with many of them making their respective final rosters. Since the new NHL season started on Wednesday night, here are all of the players listed by team.

Boston Bruins - Trent Frederic, Cameron Hughes (didn’t make final roster), Craig Smith
Buffalo Sabres - Jake McCabe

Carolina Hurricanes - Jake Gardiner
Chicago Blackhawks - Wyatt Kalynuk
Colorado Avalanche - Peter Tischke (didn’t make final roster)
Dallas Stars - Joe Pavelski
Edmonton Oilers - Kyle Turris
Minnesota Wild - Ryan Suter
New Jersey Devils - Ben Street (didn’t make final roster)
Nashville Predators - Luke Kunin

New York Rangers - K’Andre Miller, Brendan Smith

Ottawa Senators - Derek Stepan
Philadelphia Flyers - Brian Elliott
Tampa Bay Lightning - Ryan McDonagh
Washington Capitals - Justin Schultz

We might see Alex Turcotte join the LA Kings later this season now that he is done with the World Juniors. We here at B5Q will try and keep you updated throughout the season as the former Badgers distinguish themselves in the pros.
