NFL training camps have been getting started over the past few days and there are already some updates on former Wisconsin Badgers players throughout the league. With uncertainty surrounding the college football season, the NFL is likely to be the only football we get this year. Let’s take a look at how the players we’ll be cheering on are doing!
- Let’s get the awful news out of the way first: Miami Dolphins OLB Vince Biegel is out for the season with a torn ACL.
Dolphins LB Vince Biegel was carted off the field at practice today with what appeared to be a right leg/knee injury. He wasn't putting any weight on it. He was very emotional and Brian Flores/Kyle Van Noy came to give him some words as he laid on the ground for a few mins.

He's expected to miss 2020 season, per source. An obvious blow to the defense. Biegel was one of best Miami storylines in 2019. He led Dolphins with 13 QB hits.
Biegel found a home in Miami last season, starting 10 games and recording 59 tackles, 2.5 sacks, 13 QB hits and one interception. In his second year with the Dolphins he was primed for a big season and this news is a major bummer. We wish Biegel a speedy recovery and can’t wait to see him out on the field next year.
- Another Badgers linebacker is making waves in Florida. New Jacksonville Jaguars OLB Joe Schobert seems to be fitting in well in his first season in the Sunshine State.
#Jaguars linebacker Joe Schobert with a pick on Gardner Minshew. Broke on the ball perfectly. Finally gets one after dropping one the other day.

Joe the Show signed with Jacksonville this offseason after four successful seasons in Cleveland and will be looking to help the Jags back to the playoffs this year.
- Rookie running backs are a often tough to evaluate. One who isn’t is new Indianapolis Colts RB Jonathan Taylor. He’s good and it is evident every time he touches the ball.
‘Speed guy’ Jonathan Taylor just ran over/thru S Tavon Wilson.

Impressive package at 5-10, 226
Several big runs from Jonathan Taylor today.

Had the offense hooting and hollering after a couple DBs bounced right off Taylor and to the ground.
Jonathan Taylor had 3,920 rushing yards after contact in 2017-2019

Sigh, I already miss watching him run for the Badgers so much. Go Colts, I guess.
