Just days after picking up a commitment from Daryl Peterson, the Wisconsin Badgers land another defensive end in the class of 2021 in Mike Jarvis. It appears Wisconsin is really starting to pick up momentum on the recruiting trail as Jarvis joins a strong group in the class of 2021.
Mike Jarvis is a three star defensive end out of Shawnee High School in Medford, New Jersey. His recruitment really picked up steam in the last few months as Jarvis received offers from Florida State, Indiana, Nebraska and Wisconsin in April and May. He also held offers from Rutgers and Virginia which we’re the two schools that Wisconsin seemed to be in the running with before Jarvis ultimately committed to the Badgers.

At 6-foot-5 and 250 pounds Jarvis has a really solid frame for the Badgers to build on when he steps onto campus. During his junior season Jarvis recorded 10 sacks, four forced fumbles and 87 tackles. Those numbers show that Jarvis has the ability to be a down lineman that can get after the quarterback but also make plays in stuffing the run game. With the likes of Isaiahh Loudermilk and Garrett Rand leaving the roster after 2020, filling some of those gaps with a player like Jarvis will be crucial.
With Jarvis’s commitment the Badgers are now up to 13 hard commits for the class of 2021, but Jarvis appears to be the first true defensive lineman in the class as both Daryl Peterson and Ayo Adebogun appear that they could work into an edge linebacker position depending on their development. Either way with the likes of Peterson, Jarvis, and, possibly another in, TJ Bollers the Badgers appear to be really shaping up the front seven of the future.
