The non-conference schedule for the Wisconsin Badgers men’s basketball team is slowly, but surely, taking shape. On Tuesday, the official basketball Twitter accounts for both the Badgers and the Marquette Golden Eagles announced that the I-94 Rivalry would be taking place on Saturday, December 5th at Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee.
Circle the date. Plan accordingly.

Marquette is Wisconsin’s most played non-conference rival, having played the Golden Eagles 81 times since the 1949-50 season. Marquette has the slight advantage, 43-38, in that time frame, while the Badgers lead the all-time series 68-58. The 2020 matchup will be the rivalry’s 127th iteration and it will be the first second time that it is played at Fiserv Forum. The game will also be back on its recent traditional date, a Saturday at the beginning of December, after being played in early November last year.
Last season, in Madison, the Badgers beat the Golden Eagles 77-61 behind big games from Brevin Pritzl (15 points and 13 rebounds) and Brad Davison (15 points, three rebounds, two assists).
Over the past 10 games, the teams have split their games, five apiece. Marquette won the last game in Milwaukee, 74-69, during the 2018-19 season but the Badgers own a 3-2 record at Marquette over the past decade.
