Recruiting is the lifeblood of any major college athletics team, but following it closely as a fan can sometimes be difficult and can often be time consuming. We’ll try and condense all the recruiting news you can use into this bi-weekly (or more often since we are in Uncertain Times and there aren’t actual sports going on) post. It’ll include updates on current commits, including stats from their high school games, as well as news on players the Badgers are still pursuing. Let’s get down to business!
Badgers make top-five
- Earlier this week, 2021 4-star TE Terrance Ferguson (Littleton, Colo.) out of Heritage High School announced on Twitter that he would be dropping his top-five schools on Friday afternoon.

Well, Ferguson is a man of his word! His top-five, if you can’t see the embedded tweet, includes Auburn, Oregon, Southern Cal, Tennessee and the Wisconsin Badgers. Before cutting down his list, Ferguson also had offers from Ohio State, LSU, Florida, Iowa and Texas A&M among many, many others.

Ferguson is rated as the No. 337 player in the country, the No. 14 TE and the No. 3 player in Colorado by the 247 Composite. According to 247, he has a visit to Madison scheduled on June 12th, but obviously we will have to wait and see if/when he’ll reschedule it since the NCAA has extended the recruiting dead period through the end of June.
