A talented 4-star RB from IMG Academy gets an offer from the Badgers.

Recruiting is the lifeblood of any major college athletics team, but following it closely as a fan can sometimes be difficult and can often be time consuming. We’ll try and condense all the recruiting news you can use into this bi-weekly (or more often since we are in Uncertain Times and there aren’t actual sports going on) post. It’ll include updates on current commits, including stats from their high school games, as well as news on players the Badgers are still pursuing. Let’s get down to business!

New offer

  • 2022 4-star (247 and Rivals standalone rankings) RB Kaytron Allen (Norfolk, Va.) out of IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla. received an offer from the Wisconsin Badgers on Friday afternoon, according to his Twitter account. Allen has an impressive offer list that includes Alabama, Texas, Tennessee, Penn State, Georgia, Ohio State, Michigan, Virginia, Virginia Tech and others.

Neither 247, Rivals nor Hudl can agree on how tall or how heavy Allen is, but he is between 5-foot-11 and 6-foot-1 and 190 pounds and 206 pounds. Thankfully we have two more years to figure out Allen’s size before he has to commit and I’d imagine someone will have measured him by then.

Allen is rated as the No. 110 player in the nation, No. 14 RB and No. 12 player in Florida by 247Sports. According to his Hudl film, Allen rushed for 1,097 yards (8.1 yards per carry) and 15 touchdowns during his sophomore season. Allen shows excellent vision for a young tailback and also proves himself to be difficult to bring down, both while running between the tackles and while running away from defensive backs.

As mentioned above, Allen has a loaded offer list but the Badgers have a running back tradition that stacks up with anyone in the country and could definitely be in the running Allen.
