Owen discussed a few NFL mock drafts last week and where they had various former Wisconsin Badgers going, but this is a new week and there are new mock drafts to discuss! Let’s see if any draft experts have the Packers picking a Badger so most of you can SHUT THE HELL UP ABOUT IT!
::re-reads Jake’s post from a couple of years ago about how a lot of Badgers have been taken by the Packers::
Whatever, you all should still shut the hell up about it!
Bleacher Report - Matt Miller (seven rounds)
Matt Miller is one of the most prominent members of #NFLDraftTwitter and his mock drafts are always scrutinized to the highest degree. His most recent one, a full seven rounds, came out on Wednesday and features a number of Badgers in it.
- LB/EDGE Zack Baun to the Cincinnati Bengals in the second round at pick No. 33
- RB Jonathan Taylor to the Pittsburgh Steelers in the second round at pick No. 49
- C/IOL Tyler Biadasz to the New England Patriots in the fourth round at pick No. 125
- WR Quintez Cephus to the Green Bay Packers (!!!!) in the sixth round at pick No. 209
Well isn’t that exciting for Packers fans! It would be pretty cool to see Cephus get the ball thrown to him by Aaron Rodgers, who same say is better than Jack Coan. Baun vs. Taylor in the AFC North twice a year would be cool and Biadasz gets to play with Tom Bra...wait, no. Who the hell is going to be the quarterback in New England this year?
NFL.com - Maurice Jones-Drew (one round)
Jones-Drew was an excellent NFL tailback but I’m not so sure about his draft chops. He has QBs Justin Herbert and Tua Tagovailoa going with the first two picks and presumed No. 1 pick Joe Burrow falling all the way to No. 5. He also has a number of hypothetical trades within the top-5 so who the hell knows what’ll happen. However, he does have one Badger going in the first round so he can’t be THAT wrong about everything...right?
- RB Jonathan Taylor to the Tennessee Titans in the first round at pick No. 29
NFL.com - Peter Schrager (one round)
The host of Good Morning Football also has a first round mock draft up on Wednesday that features a Badgers player going in the first round.
- LB/EDGE Zack Baun to the Green Bay Packers (!!!!) in the first round at pick No. 30
