Recruiting is the lifeblood of any major college athletics team, but following it closely as a fan can sometimes be difficult and can often be time consuming. We’ll try and condense all the recruiting news you can use into this bi-weekly post. It’ll include updates on current commits, including stats from their high school games, as well as news on players the Badgers are still pursuing. Let’s get down to business!
- 2021 4-star WR JoJo Earle (Aledo, Texas) of Aledo High School is the most recent wideout to receive an offer from new Wisconsin Badgers wide receivers coach Alvis Whitted. Earle has around 24 offers and 247 Sports notes that Texas, TCU, Oklahoma and Georgia are in the lead currently. Alabama, LSU, Ohio State, Texas A&M, Florida State, Michigan, Southern Cal and others have also thrown their hat in the ring for Earle’s services.
Blessed to have been offered by The University of Wisconsin!!!!! #Badgers pic.twitter.com/HgvPRLk0bM

Earle is ranked as the No. 128 best player in the country by Rivals and the No. 69 best player in the country by 247 Sports standalone rankings. He’s rated the No. 75 best player by the Composite.
Standing at 5-foot-9 tall and weighing 170 pounds, Earle is slight yet insanely quick and elusive. He also shows an, admittedly limited, ability to put his head down and get some extra yards. Earle had 2,030 yards from scrimmage and 26 touchdowns last season and helped his school to their second straight Texas 5A D-II state championship.
These last two offers that have gone out, to Earle and Christian Leary, may give us a clue as to what type of players Whitted wants to fill his receiver’s depth chart with. The top quality appears to be speed, regardless of size, and that’s pretty cool. Get fast dudes the ball and let them do their thing is a time-honored tradition that works.
