Wisconsin video games: B1G predictions, top-25 and Week 1 depth chart with injury report

Yup, we are taking this seriously folks.

Ahhh, the start of a new college football season is finally upon us. You can tell because it just snowed here this morning but it has all melted by the afternoon and now it’s snowing again because it’s the freaking middle of March and dammit living in Minnesota is stupid.

The 2019 season is video game form and, uh, in 2020. We have Wisconsin’s roster all set up: the redshirts have been given out (see you next year, Graham Mertz), the depth chart has been set and recruiting boards have been filled.

(Two quick notes: putting in the real schedule for the 2019 season was extremely complicated for someone as stupid as me, so what we have is the best approximation that I could get. You’ll see as we continue on with these posts that not every game is the same as in real life and that not every team in the FBS is the same as in real life. I was able to add Appalachian State, but Georgia Southern and Coastal Carolina couldn’t be added because then I’d have to take away a different team.)

Let’s take a look at what the preseason top-25 looks like:

As usual, Texas and Michigan are back. I’m sure this won’t come back to haunt the pollsters in October.

The Badgers are sitting comfortably at No. 19, just one spot ahead of Iowa which is how we like it.

Nebraska..........ok, game, whatever you say.

The conference predictions for the B1G are probably about as you would expect them.

I would show you the preseason All-American lists but they are...fucked up. Nobody is in the right position. Julius Davis (the freshman Wisconsin RB who I redshirted) is first team All-B1G at FS, for instance. The preseason Heisman Trophy rankings include a C which...fine, but it isn’t even Tyler Biadasz so what the hell????

Here is the Week 1 depth chart and injury report for the Wisconsin Badgers:

We will keep you posted on the results of the first game of the season, at USF, as Drew is allowed to play it. His children, whom he loves dearly, are making it increasingly difficult by never sleeping at the same time.
