Recruiting is the lifeblood of any major college athletics team, but following it closely as a fan can sometimes be difficult and can often be time consuming. We’ll try and condense all the recruiting news you can use into this bi-weekly post. It’ll include updates on current commits, including stats from their high school games, as well as news on players the Badgers are still pursuing. Let’s get down to business!
Commit updates
- 2020 3-star wing Johnny Davis (La Crosse) helped Central to a big win, 74-41, at the Wisconsin/Illinois Border Battle over DeKalb (Ill.) this past weekend. Davis shot 14-for-16 from the field and made both of his three point attempts on the evening.
Johnny Davis checks out with 30 points, 15 rebounds, 8 assists, and 2 blocks. Played about 28 minutes.

Nice night for Jordan Davis as well. He'll finish in double figures.

While Flood says that he had 15 rebounds and eight assists, the box score linked above has him with 16 boards and nine assists to go along with his two blocks and one steal. His twin brother Jordan added 11 points (4-of-12 shooting), four rebounds, two assists and two steals in the game.
Have a feeling #Badgers fans are gonna really like Johnny Davis.

Can't turn the motor off.
Up double digits. Teammate has a wide open 3. Other teammates battling under the rim. No need to go after a rebound.
Davis, on the perimeter, flies in for the tip dunk.
- 2020 Badgers recruits forward Ben Carlson (Woodbury, Minn.) and center Steven Crowl (Eagan, Minn.) were both named to the list of 10 semifinalists for the Mr. Basketball award in the Land of 10,000 Lakes.

Former Badgers news
- I guess this is kind of recruiting news now, right?
Iowa State, Nebraska, Northern Iowa and Xavier among the schools that have reached out thus far to former La Crosse Central and University of Wisconsin wing Kobe King.

Former Badgers wing Kobe King has a couple of potential destinations in mind for his next school. It would certainly be interesting to see King return to the Kohl Center in a conference rival’s jersey, but Xavier or Iowa State will give him much better chances at team success. One would assume that Marquette would reach out as well.
Have been told Kobe King is back in La Crosse right now. Still early, but two potential transfer spots I’ve heard from a few people are Virginia and Marquette.
