Crabcakes and football...that’s what Maryland does...
Every time Wisconsin plays Maryland, I am brought back to the movie Wedding Crashers for that iconic line. Clearly they were too busy doing both of those things to come up with a more creative third uniform this season...
But before we get to that, for your enjoyment...
How good was that movie...?
As a reminder, we will be rating the opposing threads on a scale of oh honey, no, to YAASS QUEEN.
Oh honey, no: Obviously, this is the worst rating. If I must explain this to you, you’re probably wearing socks with sandals right now, or a brown belt with black pants, either way, oh honey, no.
Ewww: Nice try, but no.
Werk it: You brought it.
YAASS QUEEN: Best of the best. Your proverbial milkshake brings all the proverbial boys to the yard.
School: University of Maryland

Maryland’s home uniforms are white with red accents, including red borders on the back of the arm holes of the uniform. ‘Maryland’ goes across the chest of the jersey in red, and the player’s number is in red, outlined in gold and black.
The shorts of the uniform feature the Maryland ‘M’ logo on both legs, with stripes along the outer part of the shorts that are inspired by the Maryland state flag.
I am a fan of these uniforms, the red, black and gold work well off one another and the fact that none of the letters and numbers on the jersey are block really aids in the appearance. I think the lack of borders around the collar and arm holes of the jersey really help as well.
The stripes on the shorts, being similar in design to the state flag is a great touch as well, as they’re not just a solid color.

The Terrapins road uniforms are red, with a black border on the back of the arm holes of their jersey, with ‘Maryland’ in white across the chest and the player’s number in white, outlined in gold and black.
Their shorts feature the Maryland ‘M’ in white on both legs with the same state flag-inspired striping at the bottom of their shorts.
Just like their home uniforms, I like the red version as well. It’s a great look and pairs well with black accessories, like arm bands and shoes.

Maryland also has a third uniform, which is quite similar to their home and away uniforms. Their alternate uniform is black, with red borders on the back of the arm holds of their jerseys, ‘Maryland’ in red across the chest, with the number in red, outlined in gold.
Their shorts are the same as the other two uniforms as well, with a red ‘M’ on both legs and the state flag-inspired stripes on the shorts.
I was hoping that Maryland, the Oregon of the B1G would take a bit more of a risk with their alternate uniform, but instead they have fallen in line with their other two uniforms. The uniform looks decent enough, but I would like to see a bit more from it. Possibly go with a gold uniform, like they wore in 2019.

Or something with a slightly different design, just as long as they don’t just put the school logo across the chest...
Basically I am saying my score is predicated on the fact that I expected more from the Terps.
