As expected, the Wisconsin Badgers (3-3 overall, 3-3 B1G) were nowhere to be seen in the updated Top-25 rankings Sunday.
With the AP-Poll, Coaches Poll, and all important College Football Playoff Rankings all fully released, lets take a look at where things stand after conference championship week.
The B1G
- Ohio State —> No. 3 CFP; No. 3 Coaches Poll, No. 3 AP Poll
- Indiana —> No. 11 CFP; No. 8 Coaches Poll, No. 7 AP Poll
- Northwestern —> No. 14 CFP; No. 13 Coaches Poll, No. 15 AP Poll
- Iowa —> No. 15 CFP; No. 16 Coaches Poll, No. 17 AP Poll
Nationwide musings
- The final matchups are officially set for the College Football Playoff. In the most fully expected way possible, the pairings are: Alabama vs. Notre Dame, and Ohio State vs. Clemson.
- Cincinnati being left out of the top-6 of the CFP rankings was definitely noteworthy, as Oklahoma surprisingly jumped them despite two losses. The Bearcats narrowly beat Tulsa for the American title on Saturday to earn a spot in a New Year's Six Bowl.
- To cap off great seasons, San Jose State, Louisiana-Lafayette, and Coastal Carolina finished the season as top-20 teams.
- Wisconsin earned 10 votes in the Coaches Poll, so that’s neat, I guess.
