RB | 6-foot-1 | 210 pounds | Verona High School | 3 star, No. 32 RB |
Jackson Acker was the second commitment in the 2021 recruiting class after his performance at the UW camp in the summer of 2019. An athletic piece of clay for the Badgers to mold how they see fit, Acker has been a standout for Verona High School over the past two years.
Acker didn’t get a fall season in 2020 due to Dane County’s COVID protocols that didn’t allow the Big 8 conference to play. The spring season is still TBD, so theoretically the fall season in 2021 could be Acker’s first football since late 2019.

Acker is big, strong, fast and athletic at 6-foot-1 and 210 pounds and could end up anything from running back, to fullback to linebacker in Wisconsin’s system. I imagine he’ll be a kid who stacks on weight quickly in Wisconsin’s weight program.

Verbally committed on June 9, 2019
Jackson Acker didn’t take long to commit to Wisconsin after they’d offered him following one of their summer prospect camps in 2019. The second commitment in the class, Acker was a major foundational piece in this recruiting class and could wear multiple hats potentially.
Acker chose Wisconsin before anyone else had offered him a scholarship, and no school ended up offering Acker after he’d made it known his commitment was secure with the Badgers.
One of three running backs in this class, Acker has been labeled by some as an Athlete rather than a back, and could play a few different positions in Madison. For the time being, he’ll join Eau Claire’s Loyal Crawford and Hendersonville, Tenn. native Antwan Roberts as the running backs in this class.
