The Big Ten finally did something right this season!
With Ohio State set to take on Northwestern in the Big Ten Championship game despite not playing enough games to qualify based on the original set of made-up rules the B1G released, all bets were off for how the rest of the championship weekend scheduled would look.
For instance, Iowa (the second-best team in the West) will be playing Michigan (the second-worst team in the East)! But none of that matters because the Wisconsin Badgers and the Minnesota Golden Gophers will be playing for Paul Bunyan’s Axe in the year of our Lord 2020!

The game will kickoff in Madison at 3 p.m. CST on the Big Ten Network.
Indiana and Purdue will get a chance to play for the Old Oaken Bucket, assuming Purdue’s COVID-19 outbreak is under control, while Nebraska plays at Rutgers, Michigan State plays at Maryland and newly coachless Illinois plays at Penn State.
Wisconsin and Minnesota have the longest, uninterrupted streak of playing each other in all of FBS, having faced off each year since 1906, most recently for Paul Bunyan’s Axe but prior to that for the Slab of Bacon. Obviously, we will have much more on this game throughout the week.
