Welcome to SB Nation Reacts, a survey of fans across the NCAA. Each week, we send out questions to the most plugged-in Wisconsin Badgers fans, and fans across the country. Sign up here to join Reacts.

Recently the Wisconsin men’s basketball team and Wisconsin football team have been on the wrong end of some tough losses. After losing on a buzzer-beater to Marquette, and having a lackluster performance against Indiana on the gridiron, Badgers fans are feeling apprehensive about both the basketball and football teams. Confidence in both programs fell this week, according to the most recent SB Nation Reacts survey.

After the dreadful game to Indiana, only 61 percent of Wisconsin football fans said the team was headed in the right direction. That’s a drop from 73 percent last week and the low point of the year. Yes, it’s a wasted pandemic season, but still not ideal.

While the Badgers won’t be competing for a national championship this season, there is still a debate on who deserves the fourth and final College Football Playoff spot. Fans were asked what team they think should join Alabama, Notre Dame and Clemson.

According to the results, nearly 50 percent of fans around the country believe that team should be Ohio State. No other team received more than 20 percent of the vote. Since the Big Ten is bending over backward to make it happy for poor ol’ tOSU I would have to venture most of the fans polled are correct. Good for them. A high class, esteemed program like Ohio State truly deserves it.

Hopes are still high for the Badgers on the basketball court. Wisconsin has national championship aspirations, but took an early-season hit, losing to Marquette. They bounced back against Rhode Island Wednesday night and may end up getting their chance against Lousiville this weekend after the Cardinals resumed basketball activities. After the loss to MU, confidence in the team dropped to 87 percent, down from a full 100 percent a week before.

The Badgers will have an extremely difficult run through the Big Ten this season. However, according to fans nationally, the ACC is the best conference in the country, followed by the Big Ten. It seems fans are forgetting that Michigan State, Illinois, and Iowa all took the ACC blue bloods to the woodshed over the past few weeks. The Big Ten is also up in the ACC/Big Ten challenge, but hey yeah sure the ACC is better. How many Big Ten teams are calling to scrap the season like that big baby Coach K? Oh that’s right, none.
