Recruiting is the lifeblood of any major college athletics team, but following it closely as a fan can sometimes be difficult and can often be time consuming. We’ll try and condense all the recruiting news you can use into this bi-weekly (sometimes more) post. It’ll include updates on current commits, including stats from their high school games, as well as news on players the Badgers are still pursuing. Let’s get down to business!
- 2022 4-star S Cristian Driver (Argyle, Texas) released his cutdown list on Friday and the Wisconsin Badgers were included in his top-12. The other schools on the list Nebraska, Texas A&M, LSU, Penn State, Alabama, Ohio State, Michigan, Texas, Oklahoma, Florida and Oregon. That is, uh, quite the list.

Clearly, Driver is a highly sought after prospect and it is nice to see the Badgers right in the mix with all of these other recruiting powerhouses. In case you forgot, Cristian is the son of former Green Bay Packers WR Donald Driver. There are no Crystal Ball predictions for Driver on 247Sports.
- 2021 3-star ILB Jake Chaney (Lehigh Acres, Fla.), who committed to the Badgers back in March, has received an offer from Florida State according to 247 Sports ($). Chaney’s father went to FSU and played football there so this is an offer to keep an eye on, but there doesn’t seem to be much smoke here. 247 notes that Chaney is having a huge senior season, “rack(ing) up 97 tackles, 8.0 for loss, 2.0 sacks, and two forced fumbles.”
