B5Q Blogopean Union: holy buckets, we’ve got men’s hockey tonight!

Plus: men’s hoops starts on Wednesday, women’s hockey starts on Friday and Illinois should NOT have deleted the tweet.

NCAA Basketball: Wisconsin at Indiana Trevor Ruszkowski-USA TODAY Sports

Good morning! This is going to be a daily(ish) post that discusses the goings on of the rest of the Big Ten Conference, and the country as needed. Much like the European Union, the Big Ten is a loosely confederated group of entities that sometimes have the same goals (like free movement of people between countries or not winning national titles in football or basketball) and sometimes accept new members that they later regret (Estonia or Rutgers).

We hope that you will use this post to comment on things happening around the conference and also as a sort of daily open thread to discuss breaking news or argue about Spotted Cow (which we NO LONGER DO).

  • I mean...c’mon, man!
  • Hopefully Kendric Pryor and Danny Davis III are back in time to play Minnesota because the passing game was not good enough against Northwestern.
  • I want J.R. Pace arrested!
  • We will maybe find out more about the injuries to Rachad Wildgoose and Jake Ferguson at Paul Chryst’s media availability today, but we don’t always get an injury report.
  • Good dunk. Do more dunks.
  • Because everything is weird this year, the men’s hockey team is back in action tonight and tomorrow against Penn State on BTN.
  • The women’s hockey team finally gets to drop the puck on Friday after sitting out the first weekend of the season with a bye.
