Recruiting is the lifeblood of any major college athletics team, but following it closely as a fan can sometimes be difficult and can often be time consuming. We’ll try and condense all the recruiting news you can use into this bi-weekly (sometimes more) post. It’ll include updates on current commits, including stats from their high school games, as well as news on players the Badgers are still pursuing. Let’s get down to business!
- 2022 4-star DE Isaac Hamm (Sun Prairie) released his cut down list of four schools on Friday and the Wisconsin Badgers made the list. The other three teams are Penn State, Ohio State and Notre Dame. It is worth noting that the Buckeyes made the short list but have not extended an offer to Hamm yet. Iowa, the only school he has visited officially, did not make the cut.

The 6-foot-5 and 260 pound DE is ranked as the No. 231 player in the country by the 247 Composite and the No. 14 strongside DE while being the No. 5 player in the state. It does not appear as though Hamm is close to a decision but the only Crystal Balls on 247 are for Wisconsin.
- 2022 3-star TE Micah Riley (Bellevue, Neb.) dropped his top-8 on Saturday afternoon and the Badgers made the cut there too. The other teams include Florida State, Auburn, Arizona State, Oregon, Nebraska, Michigan State and Mizzou.

Riley is friends, and attends the same high school, as 2021 Badgers basketball commit Chucky Hepburn and Hepburn is giving him the hard sell already.

The 6-foot-5 and 228 pound Riley is rated as the No. 325 player in the nation, No. 13 tight end and No. 3 player in Nebraska by the 247 Composite.
