Welcome to SB Nation Reacts, a survey of fans across the NCAA. Each week, we send out questions to the most plugged in Wisconsin Badgers fans, and fans across the country. Sign up here to join Reacts. NOTE: This poll was conducted prior to this Saturday’s games.

With nearly half of the Power Five conferences yet to start the season, it’s difficult to say who is really the best team in the country. But for those that have started already, it’s the regulars at the top.

In the latest SB Nation Reacts survey, fans were asked who is the best team in the country that has already started playing. The Clemson Tigers and Alabama Crimson Tide jumped well ahead of the field. Once the Big Ten gets started in two weeks one would assume that the Ohio State Buckeyes, Penn State Nittany Lions and Wisconsin Badgers will be in the discussion at the top of the polls.

Clemson will almost certainly have the biggest test of that group this week as they face No. 7 Miami Hurricanes. But both Georgia and Florida have Top 25 matchups on their hands too.

The Clemson-Miami game was voted as the most anticipated matchup of the slate this weekend. Tennessee at Georgia is the second most anticipated game and will show whether or not the Vols are for real this year after, uh, many years lost in the wilderness for them.

Closer to home, the Badgers are still two weeks away from the first game of the 2020 season against Illinois, a game where UW will be looking for revenge after suffering a loss against the Illini last year. As the opener draws closer, Wisconsin fans have a growing excitement for the team. 96 percent of fans said they believe Wisconsin is headed in the right direction.

It is nice to see that fan confidence remains high even after starting QB Jack Coan suffered a foot injury last weekend and is out for the foreseeable future. Redshirt freshman QB Graham Mertz is the new starter and if his game matches his confidence, the Badgers might not miss a beat.
