The Wisconsin Badgers have added another preferred walk-on, CB Amaun Williams from Milwaukee, from in-state to their 2020 class according to Milwaukee Riverside’s head coach who appeared on Mike McGivern’s show on 1250 AM in Milwaukee Saturday morning.
According to his head coach on @BigTime1250’s show just now, 2020 DB Amaun Williams has accepted #Wisconsin’s preferred walk-on offer. He’ll visit the #Badgers today.https://t.co/fHhNGaL0xK

Williams, who is unranked by both Rivals and 247, stands 5’8” and weighs somewhere between 155 and 170 lbs. He was clocked at 4.72 seconds in the 40-yard dash at The Opening Regional on May 11th.
The Gophers had also extended a PWO offer to Williams and a number of smaller schools in Minnesota like Bemidji State, Concordia-St. Paul Minnesota-Duluth, Minnesota State-Mankato and Southwest Minnesota State had offered scholarships. Eastern Illinois had also offered Williams a scholarship.

Williams was rated as the No. 48 player in the state by Rivals this offseason and he even said at that time that he was probably going to commit to Wisconsin, so this isn’t a huge surprise for Paul Chryst and company.
As a junior, Williams was named to the AP All-State first-team on defense joining current Badgers NT Keeanu Benton and P Blake Wilcox. 2021 prospect S Hunter Wohler was also on the team.
The Badgers now have 14 scholarship commitments for the class of 2020 and have added a number of preferred walk-ons as well.
