B5Q Blogopean Union: do you know what color you’re supposed to wear on Saturday?

Plus: hawks in the stadium; Brad Davison on ice; and a potential House of Pain concert at Camp Randall?????

Good morning! This is going to be a daily(ish) post that discusses the goings on of the rest of the Big Ten Conference, and the country as needed. Much like the European Union, the Big Ten is a loosely confederated group of entities that sometimes have the same goals (like free movement of people between countries or not winning national titles in football or basketball) and sometimes accept new members that they later regret (Estonia or Rutgers).

We hope that you will use this post to comment on things happening around the conference and also as a sort of daily open thread to discuss breaking news or argue about Spotted Cow.

  • Hmmmm, what do you think this could be? What if it’s a live concert from House of Pain?!?!?!
  • We, well more like I, sometimes poke fun at Jack Dunn, but he has been playing well so far this year at punt returner.
  • Who told this guy about the factory underneath Camp Randall?
  • Jealousy is a stinky cologne, Austin.
  • Ok, this is pretty impressive.
  • Hold up. Are there hawks at Camp Randall Stadium now? Is that even a hawk? How long has this been happening? What are they there for? Can they peck Jim Harbaugh’s eyes out?
  • The men’s hockey team had a student shootout to try and win season tickets on Wednesday night.
  • It’s pretty obvious which is the “real UW” but allow the volleyball team to make it perfectly clear.
  • Some Michigan links and facts.
  • New No. 1 Nebraska won’t be tops in the nation for very long. I mean, Stanford is ranked No. 2 so there’s no shame in losing to them...but still, a short-lived reign for the Huskers.
