The Wisconsin Badgers men’s basketball team got some good news on Tuesday afternoon when 3-star center Steven Crowl (St. Paul, Minn.) announced on Twitter that he was verbally committing to the program.
I am excited to announce my decision to further my education and play basketball of the university of Wisconsin Madison. I want to thank my family, coaches and friends who have all supported me along the way and helped make this dream come true #gobadgers #Committed pic.twitter.com/K73t3P6wUg

Crowl, a 6’10” and 210 lbs. center out of Eastview High School in Apple Valley, Minn. is the fourth member of Greg Gard’s 2020 recruiting class. He had also received offers from Minnesota, Colorado, Iowa, Northern Iowa and South Dakota. He was also receiving interest from Texas, Michigan, Illinois and Pitt.

Crowl is ranked as the No. 169 prospect in the 247Sports Composite, he is more highly thought of at No. 102 in the 247Sports standalone rankings. Rivals has him a 3-star prospect and No. 23 center in the country.
His D1-Minnesota grassroots team is the same team that produced Nate Reuvers and Tyler Wahl, two recent Badgers commits.
He joins Lorne Bowman, Jordan Davis, Jonathan Davis and PWO Carter Bowman in Gard’s 2020 class. The Badgers probably have room for one more player in 2020, depending on who it is, and we will have more information on who is visiting campus this weekend for the Michigan game later this week.
Here are some of his highlights:
