It’s finally here! The first game of the season and also the first game thread of the season! No. 19 Wisconsin is in Tampa Bay to take on AAC contender, the USF Bulls.
Jack Coan is your starting quarterback and Jonathan Taylor is fixing to run for 250+ yards against an undersized USF defense front seven. The Badgers defense is looking to make a statement that, unlike Texas, they are back after a down year (by their standards) in 2018.
USF has a new offensive coordinator and are optimistic and confident after ending last season on a six-game losing streak.
Here are the staff predictions for the game:
Bob: 23-17, Wisconsin
Ryan: 31-17, Wisconsin
Owen: 37-13, Wisconsin
Tyler: 35-17, Wisconsin
Matt: 35-24, Wisconsin
Neal: 36-23, Wisconsin
Rock: 41-27, Wisconsin
Drew: 34-21, Wisconsin
Welp, that’s a clean sweep for the Badgers. What are your predictions for the game? How long does USF keep it close for? Can they pull the upset? Let us know in the comments.
We’ll have much more for y’all after the game and a couple of posts over the weekend to discuss the Badgers as well as the rest of the B1G.
UPDATE WITH BEAT WRITER TWEETS (4:11 p.m.):
No surprises on #Badgers' travel roster. TE Zander Neuville, who just rejoined the team after getting cleared for a sixth year of eligibility, didn't make the trip.
