Good morning! This is going to be a daily(ish) post that discusses the goings on of the rest of the Big Ten Conference, and the country as needed. Much like the European Union, the Big Ten is a loosely confederated group of entities that sometimes have the same goals (like free movement of people between countries or not winning national titles in football or basketball) and sometimes accept new members that they later regret (Estonia or Rutgers).

We hope that you will use this post to comment on things happening around the conference and also as a sort of daily open thread to discuss breaking news or argue about Spotted Cow.

We will have a quick breakdown on what Cephus being back on the team could mean for the Badgers receivers and offense in general later today.

  • Late on Monday night an Iowa commit flipped to Wisconsin! Welcome aboard to SDE/OLB Aaron Witt!
  • The women’s soccer team was picked to finish third in the conference this year. They also had three players on the B1G preseason honors list. Coming off a Sweet 16 appearance last year, the Badgers will be expected to make some noise again come tourney time.

They open up their season this week in Florida with two road games.

  • The men’s soccer team has a friendly with local USL League One side Forward Madison on Wednesday that is free to the public. Forward Madison is one of the most exciting teams in all of American soccer for both their play on the field and their supporters in the stands. They also have the best kits in the USA, and maybe the world.
  • It was crazy shirt day at UW volleyball practice on Monday. Madison Duello and Michael Scott carried the day.
  • Quick Badgers in the NFL update:
