The Wisconsin football team landed a 2020 commitment from three-star cornerback Max Lofy out of Colorado. The 5-11, 170 pound prospect who attends Pine Creek High School in Colorado Springs is currently expected to be the only defensive back taken in the class.

Although he projects to cornerback, Lofy also plays wide receiver and is a standout in basketball as well as in track & field for his high school. During his junior season he accumulated over 1000 all-purpose yards on offense and 16 total touchdowns, in addition to one interception on defense.
With family ties to the area, Lofy has had Wisconsin high on his list since receiving an offer in May. Lofy had a top four of Wisconsin, Minnesota, Oklahoma State, and Arizona State, with additional offers from Kansas State and multiple Ivy League schools.
Lofy took an official visit to Wisconsin during the weekend of June 21st, fresh off of visits to Oklahoma State and Minnesota. He was debating between taking an official visit to Arizona State prior to making a decision, but chose the Badgers instead.
With the addition of Max Lofy, the 2020 recruiting class stays hot on the recruiting trail and is now up to 12 verbal commitments. With a smaller projected class (16-18 scholarships), spots will continue to tighten up for the remaining prospects on Wisconsin’s radar as the summer rolls on.
