With less than three weeks until spring ball officially beginning for the Wisconsin Badgers, Owen and Jake start looking at their position groups ... and we got some questions.
WOZN’s Zach Heilprin helps us preview Wisconsin’s safeties and tight ends. Here is the full break down:
- Quick thoughts on what Zach saw at the NFL Scouting Combine from a Wisconsin perspective, and he also gives his thoughts on Alex Hornibrook departing the football program.
- On to our first position preview, we lay out what lies ahead for the safeties. We look at how injuries to starters D’Cota Dixon and Scott Nelson gave the position group experience last year, who will likely be in the mix for playing time or slots in the two-deep, and what we should be looking for from players like Nelson, Eric Burrell, Reggie Pearson and Houston transfer Collin Wilder.
- Then on to the tight ends. We analyze what the position group will look like without Zander Neuville (graduation) and Kyle Penniston (transfer portal), how big of a spring it could be for Luke Benzschawel and the next step in Jake Ferguson’s evolution as the next big name Wisconsin tight end.
