On Friday, three Wisconsin offensive linemen and a beloved fullback performed inside Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis for the 2019 NFL Scouting Combine.
On Sunday, a couple of Badgers linebackers took their turn to show NFL personnel what they could do.
Ryan Connelly and Andrew Van Ginkel performed the various drills along with other draft prospects. As WOZN’s Zach Heilprin reported on Saturday, T.J. Edwards rolled an ankle “recently” but will perform at Wisconsin's Pro Day. Edwards and Van Ginkel benched on Saturday, however, while Connelly will reportedly wait for that drill until Pro Day.
Check out the Wisconsin players’ respective performances below, along with analysis from B5Q’s Owen Riese. All stats are courtesy of NFL.com’s Combine Tracker and each player’s respective Combine profile.

Owen’s take: Connelly ran a hair better than expected and didn’t look out of place in the field drills. He showed the ability to open his hips and transition in coverage, which he’ll need to do to find the field in the NFL.
Reminder: As Connelly explained to B5Q last week, he used his vertical jump to help raise money for the American Lung Association. Fans still have eight days to give towards his Pledge It fundraiser.

Owen’s take: Van Ginkel looked impressive in the drills he participated in. A nice vertical, and he looked thicker than he did while at UW. I expect him to draw a good bit of interest from NFL teams in a variety of capacities.
