The Wisconsin Badgers fell one spot to No. 20 in Monday’s release of the AP Top 25 poll following a road win at Minnesota and a road loss at Michigan.

The Badgers avenged a January loss with a 56-51 win over the Gophers in the Barn last Wednesday but faltered in Ann Arbor on Saturday, dropping their match-up with now-No. 6 Michigan.

In all, six Big Ten teams are ranked this week. Michigan moves up up spot, while Michigan State dropped down two places, Purdue moved up three spots to No. 12, Iowa fell one spot to No. 21, and Maryland re-joined the top 25 to check in at No. 24.

The top two spots in the poll stayed the same as No. 1 Tennessee earned 40 first-place votes and No. 2 Duke claimed 24. Marquette stayed put at No. 10 following a 1-1 record this past week.

Wisconsin (17-7, 9-4 Big Ten) will only play one game this week, hosting No. 11 Michigan State on Tuesday (6 p.m. CT, ESPN2).

UW has won 11 of the last 14 match-ups against MSU at home, but the Badgers lost all three of their match-ups with the Spartans last season (one home, one away, one neutral).

This will be a chance for Wisconsin to start another win streak after it saw a six-game winning streak snapped against Michigan.
