The final College Football Playoff rankings were released by the committee on Sunday afternoon and the Wisconsin Badgers (10-3 overall, 7-2 B1G) are at No. 8 following their loss to the Ohio State Buckeyes (13-0 overall, 9-0 B1G) on Saturday night in the B1G Championship game.

The most notable other ranking, as far as the Badgers are concerned, is for the Penn State Nittany Lions (10-2 overall, 7-2 B1G) who are slotted in at No. 10. With the Badgers both ahead of the Nittany Lions and having not played in the Rose Bowl as recently they were given the spot in Pasadena.
The rest of the B1G is well represented in the final rankings with Ohio State at No. 2, the Badgers at No. 8, Penn State at No. 10, Michigan at No. 14, Iowa at No. 16 and Minnesota at No. 18. Quite the fall for the Gophers who I thought won the National Title a few weeks ago after beating Penn State to go to 9-0.
