Dike is one of, if not the best wide receiver to ever come out of the state of Wisconsin and it was big that the Badgers could lock him up early. According to WisSports.Net, Dike caught 79 passes for 1,091 yards and 12 touchdowns last season while claiming WFCA large school all-state honors during his junior season.

Dike is electric with the ball and also played well enough on defense to be honorable mention all-state his senior year. Beyond playing wide receiver for the Badgers, Dike may get a few looks as a kick or punt returner. Once he fills out a bit in a college weight program he has the potential to be a difference maker for UW on the outside.

Dike was the fifth commitment in the class and the first one who wasn’t an offensive lineman. He only had one other offer, from Iowa State, due to him signing on with the Badgers so early but there was interest from Iowa, Michigan State and Nebraska.

There are rarely skill position players from in state that are “takes” for the Badgers, so when there is one as good as Dike it is important that Wisconsin keeps him home.
