Devin Chandler is a late addition to the Wisconsin Badgers class of 2020. He didn’t decide on where he was going until Tuesday night and along with 4-star LB Kaden Johnson, made Early Signing Day Eve an exciting one for UW coaches.
Chandler is a quick wideout with good hands that could develop into a nice player for the Badgers. He caught 50 passes for 905 yards and 14 touchdowns during his senior season and showed an ability to go up and get the ball over defenders.

Verbally committed on December 17th, 2019
Chandler’s recruitment with the Badgers was pretty fast moving. He was offered at the end of November, visited Madison in the middle of December and decided to commit to the Badgers the night before Early Signing Day.
Honored and blessed to receive an offer from The University of Wisconsin‼️ #Badgers @BadgerFootball @Coachjset23 @gridironjrj @HoughAthletics pic.twitter.com/6L48rtHWds

Chandler also strongly considered Virginia and Maryland, he took official visits to both of these schools as well, and he received offers from N.C. State, Duke, Illinois, Syracuse, Akron and Kent State among others.
Coming in late and getting an athlete from the Southeast like this shows that Wisconsin is earning more of a national reputation on the recruiting trail. While their bread and butter will always be in the upper Midwest, it is important for them to expand their footprint into states like North Carolina or Georgia.
