After committing to Minnesota and then Iowa, Aaron Witt flipped and decided to attend Wisconsin. The 6-foot-5 defensive end originally committed to his home state Golden Gophers in November 2018 before decommitting in May. After a campus visit to Iowa in June, Witt committed to his second Big Ten school and chose to play for the Hawkeyes. Soon after, Wisconsin offered Witt a scholarship and the rest was history. Witt decommitted from Iowa on the same day he received the offer and verbally pledged to play for the Badgers.

It’s been quite a recruiting journey, but the Badgers are thrilled to have Witt as a member of this class. The Winona, Minnesota native will likely play outside linebacker in Wisconsin’s 3-4 scheme and looks to be a perfect fit in defensive coordinator Jim Leonhard’s defense.

He took his official visit to Madison the weekend of September 6th for the Central Michigan game.
