I have a feeling another golden age of Wisconsin offensive line play is coming up, as 2020 offensive tackle Trey Wedig signed with the Badgers today. It is difficult to get a sense of exactly how good Wedig is because, according to his Hudl highlights, he just rolls over anybody in his way without much issue.

Wedig, a U.S. Army All-American Bowl invitee, is the highest rated recruit in the Badgers 2020 class. Along with fellow four-star offensive tackle recruit Jack Nelson, Paul Chryst has a strong core of linemen to build around.

According to 247Sports, Chris Haering and Joe Rudolph took the lead on fending off several other suitors for Wedig. The offensive tackle’s offer sheet is robust, including recruiting powerhouses Georgia, Michigan, USC and Notre Dame.

His offer sheet also included some notable less-than-power-houses such as Minnesota and Nebraska.
